I stepped on the stones, turned my site north
Towards the peaks and the bright bluesky
The seeming eternity
Is calling, longingly for me
One step forward
One step toward
A thousand miles of nothing
Oblivion looms ahead
In the darkness
We see the most
The ground crunches beneath me
In the distance I hear thunder
As the clouds roll in
Like a sword, unsheathed
The earth quakes and splits
Breaks and slits the wrists
Into canyons and caves
Mountains into waves
Horrifyingly they melt away
Into geometric figures
Eroding my last sense of sanity
The man I was is falling apart
Broken and scarred
Yet we wash
Yet we wash our intelligence to the sea
Temptation is a demon
Yearning to be free
Addicted to the perilous pain
I stepped on the stones, turned my site north
Towards the peaks and the blackened sky
The seeming eternity is calling longingly for me
One step forward
One step toward
A thousand miles of nothing
Oblivion looms ahead
In the darkness
We see the most
Beg for your life
As the clouds roll in
Like a sword, unsheathed
The earth quakes and splits
Breaks and slits the wrists
Into canyons and caves
Mountains into waves
Broken and scarred
In fragments they shard
The weak are all I see
Empty bodies before me
Trapped in a daily routine
Awaiting their slaughter
Dead is he who taints the world
Dead is is he who forged the plans
Dead is she with the stolen pearls
Dead are they with tied up hands
From the third world up to the first
Tap our resources and steal our land
When we asked for you to quench our thirst
You brought our bodies out into the sand
Bury me in the cold dark earth tonight
Ensure that I am deep down in the dirt
So deep I that could never escape
Know your demise
You heretics will beg for your lives
Choking on the poisonous air
You fucking cowards will face the tides
As the acid rain melts away your skin
Species extinct will come to life
To take away your pathetic existence
The verdict is in
We are guilty
I didn't realize how great Beastmaker were until I put this in and really gave it a good listen. Man, if anyone ever sounded like the mighty Black Sabbath it's these guys and that's a major compliment! Sabbath made me the metalhead I am today. So super happy to discover these guys. Guitar tone is heavy as shit and the singer has that creepy Ozzy sound that's perfect for this music. Beastmaker are the classic Sabbath sound circa 1970. I play this all the time. knutepanhead
This is an immersive introduction to a posse of rough riders that might just surprise you with the way they throw together doom metal, post-rock, and slide guitars. Sean McGuire
I'm sad to see this era of Beastmaker close out but this is a phenomenal way to do! Black Butterfly might be the best thing they've ever done. dianonhead
